The aim of I-React is to improve the capacity for recovery from natural disasters, through better analysis and anticipation, quick and effective emergency response measures, and an improvement in social commitment and awareness.
This will be carried out through the integration of existing services into a platform that will support the whole process of emergency management.

I-react will integrate European systems and tools such as the Copernicus emergency management service, the European Flood Alert System (EFAS), the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS) and the European Network of Permanent GNSS stations, for instance, Galileo and EGNOS. I-REACT will reduce the number of people affected and the loss of lives, thereby reducing the social and environmental cost due to the damage and harm caused by these phenomena.

I-REACT is coordinated by the ISMB technological centre, and the consortium consists of 20 members from 10 different European Union countries.
