Simulations done using the CALPUFF air pollutant dispersion model version 6. The domain is of 40x40 km centered in the point source, and the grid spacing is of 200 m. There are 9 vertical levels. The forecast length is 24 h. These are the details of the point source:
Stack height
60 m
Stack diameter
6.9 m
Exit velocity
17.9 m/s
Exit temperature
353.15 K
SO2 emission rate
7.00E-02 g/s
NOx emission rate
4.33E01 g/s
The meteorological data have been obtained from a MM5 mesoscale model simulation, using 4 nested grids with a grid spacing of 81, 27, 9 and 3 km. The 3 km grid has been used to feed the CALMET model to create the meteorological conditions for the CALPUFF, with a grid spacing of 200 m.
